Explore Sustainability in Prague
Discover how sustainability works across cities, industries, communities and everyday systems on this immersive 7-day sustainability program in Prague, designed for university groups.
Through field visits, workshops and challenge-based learning, participants explore how energy, transportation, consumption, circular economy and urban development connect within the transition towards a more sustainable future.
Understand sustainability as a connected system
Prague offers a distinctive setting for examining sustainability across historic urban environments and modern industries. Participants explore circular economy models, organic waste management, sustainable fashion and urban ecosystems while considering how infrastructure, business, policy and individual behaviour influence one another.
Tentative experiences include a visit to Institut Cirkulární Ekonomiky, a composting workshop with Kokoza, and academic exchange with local students at Charles University.
Explore energy and sustainable mobility
The program examines energy security, low-carbon electricity and responsible consumption before exploring the transformation of transportation through an automotive manufacturing visit and urban mobility initiatives.
Activities encourage participants to evaluate the benefits, limitations and wider impacts of sustainability solutions, from energy transition and electric vehicles to shared transport and everyday consumer choices.
Turn sustainability learning into action
Throughout the week, participants work together on the EU Sustainability Policy Challenge, drawing on the organisations, systems and ideas encountered during the program.
The experience concludes with group presentations that bring observations together into practical recommendations. Participants leave with a stronger understanding of systems change and the interconnected challenges involved in building more sustainable cities and societies.
